"We promote and boost the recognition of Hirokawa town to the world! There are lots of goodies which will draw your attention. Come visit us, and you will experience the heart of Japan."
Beauty of Hirokawa, seasonal, regional, traditional, there are many ways to enjoy this small city. It is located in Fukuoka Pref., Kyusyu, which is a southern island of Japan.
A population of only about 20,000 people, yet it is full of nature with a flatland to the mountains, with river running through it. The main industry is agriculture, but also has one of the largest industrial enterprise complexes of the region. As well there are several traditional craftworks by the Minister of Industrial Economy, one of which is the famous Kurume Kasuri, an indigo dyed woven fabric.
It is such a small city with many treasures. Yet it is very difficult to promote on its own. So Hirokawa Branders decided to collaborate with partners in many different fields. It is a totally new challenge for a small regionnal city, but there is a great chance for success.
The collaboration will be in the field of agriculture to science & technology, sports, media, lifestyle and more. Some will produce finalized products, but also we aim to create a new material through reducing the food loss and industrial waste and upcycling them.
We see our future not only in Japan, but in the world beyond.
